AYB COVID-19 Update - Sept 2020

Dear AYB Community,

We hope this email finds you and your family healthy and staying safe.

Currently AYB is waiting for state guidelines from the MIAA & EEA as it relates to the upcoming basketball season. Basketball has been classified as a high-risk sport in which we are unable to scrimmage or play games. These are Mass regulations only. Other states are allowing tournaments and games out of state.

We will be offering outdoor clinics at the middle school. These clinics will be for 5th - 8th grade kids with our high school varsity coaches. Please check our social media page for upcoming announcements and schedules.

Travel: We will not be holding tryouts as we can't use gyms and accommodate the large number of kids safely. We are also awaiting direction from Metrowest on our upcoming travel season. We expect an update in early Oct. If Metrowest establishes a start date for our travel season we will work on an alternate plan for our travel teams.

In-Town: At a min we will have skills and clinics this winter. This is all gated by COVID and the regulations we must adhere to from the state regarding number of players and coaches on the court at on time.

We can't wait to get back on the court with our AYB families! Thank you for your patience as we are doing everything possible to offer a safe way to get back on the courts. For the latest updates continue to check the website and social media.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions, comments or concerns.
